West Ham’s mentality will be tested to the limits at the London Stadium this afternoon as we head into the game against a Saints team with injury problems,
There is bound to be a nervous atmosphere around the place as the teams step out for the 2pm kick off and it will be down to the players to get off to the fastest of starts.
David Moyes appears to have no worries over that declaring to reporters: “I think we believe we are a really good team here, we’ve got good players and a really good team.
What we’ve not done is shown or proved that often enough, so we’ve now got the chance in the next few months to show it.
We have had dips as well, but we have been showing some signs where in some games our performances have been pretty good.
We have started to get a few more goals in some of the games, which is really important. We’ve got to make sure we aren’t conceding too many opportunities to the opposition, but we are just getting a little bit better and I am hoping we are able to show this by our results.”
