Conflicting Reports | Truly A Hammers Saga

I really didn’t want to post any more ‘updates’ about Aaron Wan Bissaka other than confirming he is a Hammer. But- this saga has got even the most hardened ‘In The Know’ sources at odds with differing opinions as to whether the deal has been signed or not! Truly a West Ham United ‘special’.

First we have Fabrizio Romano claiming in x that the deal has been signed:

And then almost  immediately from ExWhuEmployee comes ‘it’s 99.9% but not 100% yet:

Claret and Hugh Associate Editor Sean Whetstone confirmed the reality with his own X account:

‘Please don’t shoot the messenger but club sources state that AWB has not quite signed his contract yet’.

Whatever that means!

So, news outlets claiming ‘done deal’ are jumping the gun. When I hear more, you’ll hear more. If I’m still awake!

Like everyone else, lifelong WHU fan and season ticket holder in old BMU stand at Upton Park from 2003. Billy Bonds these days with my adult son and impatiently waiting for my Grandson to be old enough to initiate him before his mum grabs him for Man U. All opinions are my own very biased ones.

I wonder how late Steidten stays up ?

  • Ray says:

Personally, I could not give a damn whether AWB has signed or not, or even if he does. Whoever is pulling the strings on this pantomime, it is well past amusing now. If he conducts business on the pitch like he does off it, we could be sorry he signed (if he does).
    On/Off, On/Off, ?????

Ray, Don’t believe anything that you read on this subject. And don’t have a pop at the player when you don’t have a clue as what been happening for the past 3-4 weeks. I refuse to do either. I have a feeling the messengers are having a laugh at WH social media subscribers.
Tomorrow we’ll see the photographic evidence that he signed.

      • Ray says:

Charley, I understand your sentiments here but just as this medium exists to wind us up, so it also exists to enable us to vent and I do so accepting that I am no better or less informed than you, so if it makes me feel better, mission accomplished.
So called journalists (if that is what they are) are not my favorite life form, but neither do I believe that the players themselves are always blameless. You are of course correct that we will probably never know, but we don’t have to.

      Well said!

    Can i get a wallah 👂🏾

  • Dudley Tyler says:

‘it’s 99.9% but not 100%’ is nothing more than saying ‘I know nothing’. Covered for both eventualities and then claiming to be ITK.

  • Kip says:

    Ridiculous

  • Hammeroo says:

“AWB has not quite signed his contract yet.”

What, is he a slow learner or something, has he got stuck half way through doing his signature, or is he unable to read the contract?

What does “not quite signed” even mean? This just gets even more ridiculous!

    • Martin Treasure says:

I think it means ‘ most but not all of the documents are signed and lodged’.. I also guess it means there ‘s no going back. Relax, official announcement won’t be long..

      • John Ayris says:

I’m glad that I didn’t stay up. It shows how convoluted many of these deals must be.

      • Hammeroo says:

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock …

        • Martin Treasure says:

Still not falling for the ‘it’s a done deal’ comments made by some. Will wait until it is 100%. Cannot bring myself to write ANOTHER update just for ‘clicks’.

  • Stevie Mac says:

I can’t understand why the west ham transfers take so long are they waiting on another team coming in and hijacking the deal. That’s what it looks like

    • Martin Treasure says:

Stevie I’d say it is only this one which is taking so long. Some of the others have sailed right upto almost ‘signing’ before being made public. So many conflicting ‘in the know’s trying to be first, sometimes too much gets made public too soon.

      • Hammeroo says:

You can say that again! (ha ha, don’t you dare!). 😂

        • Martin Treasure says:

I’ll tell you now. The deal is done and the final part has been signed off. BUT again waiting for the official ‘DONE’ before publishing as I’m sick of ‘updates’ and ‘delays’ and ‘ here we goes’ and – especially 🙂 sick of Man U and their financial arrangements lethargy.
