Conte reacts after Irons put Sevilla in their place

|

Spurs boss Antonio Conte is very aware of what he is facing tomorrow after our brilliant win over Sevilla on Thursday.

Mind you he was only prepared to pay an odd back handed compliment to the performance although understands what his team is going to be confronted with when the game gets underway.

Conte has never been one to handed out compliments easily to opposition teams but he was obviously deeply impressed with the victory.

Spurs are currently on level points with us with a game in hand having at one time had three so a win over there will be the perfect follow up to our Europa Cup success.

It’s another huge game against a team whose form is inconsistent having won four, lost two and drawn one of their last seven games whilst having been knocked out of the FA Cup by Middlesbrough.

Having watched the Irons deal with Seville at the London Stadium he said: “My reaction to West Ham’s game was our game will be very difficult.

“If West Ham can beat Sevilla, who are second in Spain, it means the level of this league is very, very high. But now we are more complete and ready to fight until the end.”
