Cottee: “Things are looking good”

|

CotteeTony Cottee has been very encouraged by what he’s seen happening at Upton Park this summer and believes the future looks bright.

Having seen the arrivals of Aaron Cresswell, Mauro Zarate and  Cheikhou Kouyate, Cottee believes the board and Sam Allardyce are doing well in the transfer market.

He said: “Zarate is the type of player we’ve been missing and with Kouyate and Cresswell loving to get forward things look quite good.

“My understanding is that three or four more players are wanted and that’s very good news. As a former player I know how the mood changes with new faces.

“I explained here a couple of days ago that Cresswell is a fabulous signing – he is a real West Ham type whilst Zarate is a goal scorer and Kouyate a driving force in midfield.

“We are already feeling a change of mood around the place. Fans become very impatient and frustrated in the transfer window.

But I don’t think there’s been too much complaining this time around. It’s looking good.”

Isn’t it amazing what a couple of quality signings can do to lift the place? It maybe just me but there seems a reel buzz about the club again! With more potential transfers to come long may it continue! COYI!
