Coufal braves Frankfurt fans and won’t blame Cressie

|

You have to hand it to Vladi Coufal.

The Czech defender could well be considered very brave as he remained on the pitch as thousands of German fans invaded at the end of their win over us.

That in itself was  pretty disgraceful and although police were quickly on the scene to quell the problems – which should never have happened in the first place – Coufal wasn’t slow to remain on the field of play.

There was only one reason for that. He wanted to say a big thank you to our disappointed fans after a night where everything went as wrong as it could have done.

It’s pretty typical of a player who has shown his love for all things United since he arrived at the club and was determined to do the right things by the Claretand Blue Army.

Coufal explained his decision to www.whufc.com to walk calmly to the away end and throw his shirt into it.

“I wasn’t scared,” he confirmed. “I experienced it many times when I played for Slavia Prague. I don’t think the fans would attack me but if they did it’s their problem, not mine.

“I just wanted to say ‘Thank you’ to our fans, to show them my appreciation and throw them my jersey. I wasn’t scared of the Frankfurt fans..

He was also keen to ensure that Aaron Cresswell was singled out for judgement after being sent off declaring: “What do you want me to say about Aaron Cresswell?

Of course he’s disappointed, but he helped us in many games and for sure it wasn’t just his mistake as we could cover him,

We are winning together and we are losing together so there’s nothing to judge for him.”

Of course cou or others in the team won’t blame Cresswell that’s human nature to his face. But guaranteed most will in their minds and rightly so. Cresswell is the brainless idiot after a already sending off that we got away with and forgiven. Now in the most important match in the clubs latest history he does the exact same thing and has disgracefully let the fans club and players down once again not learning that you don’t grab pull hold on to other players in the situation of them being in front of you or behind where he should have been after not stepping up for putting a player in offside. Moyes should but won’t send him home to Liverpool his team he supports and never wear a west ham shirt again till his sold to a championship side in summer. Moyes probably won’t though and give a reprieve to him after 300 games for west ham and Cresswell gets away with it. Hopefully he goes to the bank and starts paying back from his obscene wages per week the fans that payed out to travel to Germany the least he can do.
