Coufal contract update

A Vladimir Coufal contract update has been revealed to  Claret and Hugh by West Ham. writes Hughie Southon  They will take up the option on his current deal which runs out at the end of the season and he will  be offered an extended one year deal.  C and H learned exclusively today that the Hammers board is currently agreeing the terms of the new offer which will soon be put before the Czech international right back before Christmas. That will be very good news to the player who has seen his clubmate Tomas Soucek agree a new four year deal and said in a recently published interview that he would be ready to sign a new deal with the club if and when it is offered to him,

Many sites have been claiming the player is set to leave but that is now looking highly unlikely following the news we received out of the club this afternoon. Our top source claimed that the option – which is for one year – is almost ready to offer and set to complete with the player. The 31 year old has been in terrific form during the current campaign having already appeared in 17 of a possible 18 games for the club.

He has been very much the No 1 right full back for the club since joining for what was a bargain basement £5 million fee and during his time with us has made a total of 127 appearances.

This is good news for us Hammers fans. Vladimir has been quite outstanding so far this season and is also a loyal Hammer who does his fair share of PR work. He’s a fan favourite too. Respect to him!
