Coufal eyes win over club named as his possible next stop

Vladi Coufal is very much the Iron in Friday the 16th Hammers headlines.

No sooner has he made it clear – whilst on the midwinter break – that he is not too happy with the time he is spending on the bench – he’s the man chosen by the media department to talk about the game at Fulham this weekend.

And it becomes even more ironic with Sky Sports suggesting that the Cottagers could be the club to which he moves given head coach Marco Silva is very much on the lookout for a right back,

Coufal will be hoping for a call up for the game given that he has made it clear something needs to be resolved on his position.

In the meantime the Czech Republic international is focusing on another win after victories in the first two friendlies at Cambridge Unoted and Udinese .

He revealed: “I’ve been back in Prague with my family and it was perfect, I enjoyed every moment with my family and my kids. We had a good time.

“Since we have been back, we’ve played the two friendly games so far. Yes, they are just friendly games, but every victory still gives us confidence.

“Saturday will be our third game since the break (for the World Cup), so we are trying to build momentum – we are looking for a third win against Fulham.”

Kick-off against Fulham is at 1pm, and you will be able to follow live coverage and also get all your reaction after the final whistle on whufc.com and our official app.

Following Saturday’s trip to Craven Cottage, West Ham will resume the 2022/23 Premier League campaign at Arsenal on 26 December, and then host Brentford at London Stadium four days later.
