Coufal hands out big clue on new contract

|
Vladi Coufal may or may not be in action against Serbian outfit  TSC in tonight’s match at the London Stadium but it seems he will be in Hammers colours for some time to come given his latest comments regardless.
After discussing the game with the London Evening Standard he says he is quite confident of a win and if he were offered a contract extension he add he “would probably sign it.”
That is probably on account of him believing he is in a stronger squad now than when even Declan Rice was a part of things.

He added: “West Ham  “are not weaker without Dec, we are stronger. I love our signings,” .

“We knew what to expect from James Ward-Prowse, but I didn’t expect what he has done so far. He has two goals and three assists — it’s absolutely amazing. I didn’t see him score so much at Southampton.

“And [Mohammed] Kudus is a gifted player who has almost everything: power, strength, technique, skill. I don’t know his main position. We had to split responsibilities to every player, because Dec took responsibility for everything. I love the way we play now.

“Two years ago, we went to the Europa League semi-final and were beaten by Frankfurt. In that moment I thought it was my last chance to get to a European final. But we got to one last year and we can get there this year. Why not?”

He said that he still meets people in coffee shops who come up and thank him for what we did in Prague and added that he loves the culture of football here, because people are obsessed. When you win a trophy for the fans, you are almost God to them.
