Coufal interest rages

Vlad Coufal is wanted by Bayer Leverkusen.

The Hammers right-back could well leave in January, as he has been linked with a variety of clubs in recent months.

Sky Sports News now reports that the Bundesliga club are monitoring his situation and are interested in signing the Czechia international next month.

There are also reported to be two Premier League clubs keeping an eye on Coufal’s situation, but their names have not been revealed as of yet.

Coufal has started seven Premier League games this season but he has not been in David Moyes’ starting XI since mid-October.

The report claims the Hammers would look at offers were they to be tabled, but they remain reluctant to allow defenders to move on in the January window.

We have reported that boss David Moyes has instructed his scouts to keep a look out for any potential right-back replacements, should a significant offer be tabled for Coufal.

  1. I really hope the board step in and dobt allow this to happen. He is by far our best rb, head and shoulders above Johnson and Kehrer. If Moyes sanctions this he should be sacked because what he is doing is trying to justify the signing of Kehrer which is so wrong.

  2. I hope this does not happen!
Maybe they would take Kehrer in stead!

  3. I think the Soucek situation has affected him and its why were not seeing him at his best. Coufal plays with his heart on his sleeve and his heart aint in it … same as Soucek. They were the catalyst for Moyes revolution and if he doesn’t get his tactics right they’ll be the end of it. Right now we have to many players who are underperforming and whether Moyes is the man to get the best out of them we shall soon find out. Moyes didnt buy players sho fitted his system. He bought players he thought would help us become more possesion based but hands up if youve seen a Moyes team play possession based football lol … he’s lost and it shows

  4. Moyes is good at destroying players. Benrahma, Vlasic, And this season Coufal. Coufal is a hard worker, tenacious and has a solid understanding of defensive duties yet can bomb ahead. In his first dragon he created 8 goal scoring chances which is more than Rice! I really think we need a change in manager.

    • 100% agree……. Moyes is single handedly destroying our youth development system & destroying first team players by continuously playing them out of position whilst trying to make Dec an attacking midfielder which he is definately not………….come on GSB&K ( who I am not a fan of by the way ) & sack Moyes ASAP before he kills everything that my beloved club is renowned for

  5. Keep him for sure. Play Kehrer as a centre back as purchased, if selected. We will lose Ashby, so Coufal and Johnson r/B, we should play a back 3 as Aguerd and Kehrer are mobile, we will lose Daws most likely. Just stop shuffling people out of position like sticking plasters.Back three, wing backs for width and one DCM for me, load the midfield and attack for passing options and move it quicker.
