Old-Trafford-Stadium-Manchester-UnitedIt could become a historic day in Manchester today as demonstrated by the image here.

The Hammers are set to become the first team in two decades to claim the scalps of five top clubs in a Premier League season.

Were we to beat Manchester United this afternoon that would be both Manc sides defeated in their own backyard along with Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea our place in history is assured.

Many are writing us off just as they did on all the previous occasions but as Hammers chief pundit Leroy Rosenior comments: “Football is not always about the seeming reality of the situation. It looks very tough and it is hard to fancy us.

“But the same was true when we went to Liverpool without a win to our name up there in 53 years. I really can’t tip us to win but I would never be surprised at any result.

“There’s a massive chance to make a real name for ourselves and that could provide a serious edge to our game.”

  1. We could also make a name for ourselves by being the only team in history to beat all the top teams and lose against all the crap ones.
