Cressie and Hart for England!

cresswellCandHAaron Cresswell has received another England call up from Gareth Southgate for England’s World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovakia.

And Joe Hart has been named as one of the four goalkeepers with Jack Butland, Tom Heaton and Jordan Pickford also named.

Cresswell played his first competitive game of the season at Southampton last weekend but was rested for the game against Cheltenham last night ahead of the game against Newcastle United at the weekend.

England – who have a two point lead in Group F with four qualifying games left – face bottom of the group Malta on September 1 and Slovakia at Wembley three days later.

Slaven Bilic was not surprised at Cresswell’s inclusion commenting to www.whufc.com: ”

“He is becoming a regular and there’s continuity and it’s great for him and us. We are proud we have a couple of players in England’s squad. Cress deserves it. He is very consistent.

“He had his ups and downs last season because of the injury he got in pre-season but he is a great player, a great pro, has got a great left-foot and he’s a very important age for England and he’s a player with a bright future. He’s a top player.”

  1. Haply for Cressie!
But think Antonio should been called up as well.
4 GKs Don’t know how Hart got called up w his performances only bc he has been #1 for England for so long but Heston Pickford Butland imagine all ahead.
6 striker tho Welbeck as become a winger and Defoe come one Antonio over those 3.
But Ant’s injury took him away from last call up and just think he would bring energy pace hard work and graat attitude to the squad
