Cressie relieved to bury mistakes at Anfield

CressieAaron Creswell reckons he couldn’t have given a more appropriate response in better place than Anfield for his Bournemouth shocker!

Last season’s Hammer of the Year fully admits that the shock home defeat was down to a couple of his own mistakes as anything else.

But he told www.whufc.com: “My dad used to take me to games at Anfield when I was younger, so to turn Liverpool over, 3-0 at Anfield, it was a great achievement and a real team performance

“It was extra special because all my family were there, they were all sitting in the home end as they are all Liverpool fans.”

His mind still isn’t far from the Bournemouth disaster though and he added: “I take full responsibility for the two sloppy mistakes I made that day.

“The second one was just a total lack of concentration, it just wasn’t good enough on the day. But that is where you know you have to be strong and you have to bounce back.

“To do it at Anfield was special and a great way to do that. “You are always going to make mistakes and you have to hold your hands up. Every footballer has ups and downs and you have to take the good with the bad and be a strong player.”

You learn from your mistakes and become a better player,if you don’t you can be forgotten very quickly,
At least he has his feet on the ground and has not let last years success go to his head
