Cresswell a Hammers lifer

Aaron Cresswell is set to stay at West Ham until the end of his career.

The Hammers left-back has been in sterling form this season and is set to turn 33 in December of this year.

He remains the Irons’ only real option at left-back given and he is set to be handed a new contract that will see him through to the very end of his career.

Cresswell’s current deal expires in 2023 and we understand the Irons are poised to offer him a new two-year deal that will run until 2025, when he’s 35.

That would be the twilight of his career and performances this season have been so good that extending his stay is seen as a priority.

Cresswell has been playing for West Ham since 2014, making 282 appearances in total and also winning two England caps along the way.

He is a long-serving Hammer and has more than earned the right to stay.

  1. Another player that Moyes has completely transformed in his second spell, to go alongside Lanzini.
