Cresswell could start for England

|

aaron-cresswellWest Ham left-back Aaron Cresswell could be in line to make his full international debut for England against Spain in Tuesday night’s friendly after Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand sat out training on Tuesday while Tottenham’s Danny Rose is set to be rested.

The FA confirmed that England and Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney would join Bertrand in sitting out of training on Monday, with both players suffering “minor issues”.

Should Southgate follow through with his original plans and decide to rest Spurs wing-backs Rose and Kyle Walker, that would leave Cresswell as the only recognised left-back left in the Three Lions squad for Tuesday’s clash against La Roja.

From the soundbites Southgate is going to put out a second string team against Spain, more likely it is because he is frightened of the managers kicking off I just hope they don’t take a hiding and that Cressie comes back fit COYI !!!
