Cresswell desperate to lift Bilic pressure

cresswellCandHAaron Cresswell wants to help stop the intense speculation around Slaven Bilic’s job and knows how big the game against Huddersfield has become.

The left back admits it is “massive” declaring that three defeats on the spin is simply not good enough.

And speaking to talkSPORT he said: “It’s our first home game and we really need to kick-start our season – that’s what we’ll be looking to do.

“We know that it is not good enough to get three defeats on the spin, but we’re the only ones who can affect that and we will work hard to put things right.”

Discussing the pressure on his manager he said: : “We don’t really get involved in that. “Of course we don’t want to negative stuff, we want to turn that around into a positive and only results and good performances do that.

“That’s what we’ll be looking to do against Huddersfield and hopefully we’ll stop all this [speculation over Bilic’s future].

“Huddersfield have had a tremendous start and we want to stop that on Monday by getting thre three points.”

  1. Try putting some effort in then Cress. Stop a cross for once. Stop bottling out of 50/50 aerial battles. Cross the halfway line and stop passing the buck by giving the ball to a centre half who has no option but to hoof it. Sick of the sound bytes from the whole squad. JFDI

  2. actually the fullbacks being pushed so far up beyond the half way line and hugging the touchlines causing them to become detached from the centre backs is one of our main issues. our back four doesn’t operate as a four but merely a two. just play a solid back 4 and get a well earned 1-0 win. everything else is secondary.
