Wolves are in talks to sign West Ham's Aaron Cresswell, who has been at the club since 2014

West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell is reported as being in talks with Wolves.

And it would seem that if true the reason he signed a new deal was in order for teh Hammers to get a transfer fee which it is being suggested by the Mail as being in the region of £2.5 million.

The 33-year old has now been with the Hammers for nine years since signing under Sam Allardyce back in 2014 from  Ipswich Town for £3.75million in 2014.

However, not many would disagree that his form started to slip last season – along with the rest of course – with Emerson appearing more and more in the left back role.

It seems the Hammers will be looking to bring in a younger left back although Ben Johnson can play on that side should the club decide to keep him at the club.

Should a move to Molineux happen it will see Cresswell link up with former hammers team mate Craig Dawson who moved on to the midlands for family reasons.
