Cresswell injury and team news update

|

West Ham look likely to again be without Aaron Cresswell at Spurs tonight as they head into the Carabao Cup quarter final clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Our understanding is that Cress still has a badly bruised back after crashing into the upright making a clearance against Manchester City.

However, it seems that Ben Johnson may well be fit and that he could take up the left back position with Ryan Fredericks coming in for the suspended Vladi Coufal.

The club are keeping their cards very close to their chest on positive covid cases among the players although there’s a suggestion that the problem is affecting the support staff ore than the squad.

The bigger question is just how seriously the boss wants this match but he is deeply aware we are told that the fans will not be happy going out to Spurs of all teams.

With nothing won in 40 years and the dip in recent form in his mind this is one he will be determined to win.
