Cresswell insists he will keep looking up

Aaron Cresswell insists there can be no “looking over the shoulder” as the Hammers bid for a top ten finish starting with a game against the best team in the land a week on Saturday.

Discussing the way ahead Cressie declared: “It’s still early doors but we want to keep our momentum going and really push for the top half of the table. There’s a two week break now and we want to continue it when we get back to work.

“We’ve had a good run and we’d like to continue that. We will come back ready for Manchester City. We don’t want to look over our shoulder. We want to look up. We want to push on and see how far we can go.”

Discussing Saturday’s game at Huddersfield he said: “It’s a great atmosphere that Huddersfield fans produce, and when they get an early goal that sets the crowd up a little bit more.

Speaking to www.whufc.com he added:  “From our point of view, it was frustrating to concede. The way we started the game was really good and I think, if Marko’s chance goes in, it’s a totally different game. Then they get the goal out of nowhere.

“It was very open towards the end. We dug deep from 1-0 down, and a point away from home perhaps wasn’t what we wanted, but the circumstances of the game means we’ll take it.

“It was frustrating from our point of view to concede that goal, but we’ll take the point away from home.”
