Cresswell update

|

By Hughie Southon

Aaron Cresswell may be missing again for the game at the London Stadium when Chelsea visit on Saturday lunchtime.

We understand the 31 year old left back is still not fully recovered from the back injury he received in the match against Manchester City at the weekend.

Aaron of course had crashed into an upright making a clearance and although manager David Moyes claimed after the game he seemed okay, the player failed to recover in time for Brighton and is apparently still struggling.

He has joined Angelo Ogbonna as our second current injury and it may well be that Ben Johnson will continue to cover in that position with Vladi Coufal retaining the right back position where he absolutely excelled on Wednesday.

However, the injury could hardly have come at a worse time with the team now three games without a win and a victory over Chelsea being a result which would restore much confidence to the squad.
