Cresswell wondering which Leeds will turn up

|

Like the rest of us no doubt, Aaron Cresswell is wondering which Leeds United will turn up at the London Stadium tomorrow night.

Marcelo Bielsa’s outfit are among the most unpredictable in the Premier League – the entertaining highly combative outfit or the sort of team which we beat with a degree of comfort at Elland Road despite a 1-2 scoreline.

They are essentially a win or lose team having drawn only three all season and their last eight games has seen them win four and lose four.

Prior to that they had won seven and lost ten in a first season back which has seen the team widely hailed as hard-working and exciting.

Cresswell believes he understands why and has been giving his thoughts ahead of the match to www.whufc.com

The left-back – who himself has been in very consistent form over recent games – discussed the opposition’s all-action style which sees them move forward as a team and rely on one on one battles across the pitch.

He said: “They’re so unpredictable, you don’t know what you’re going to get with Leeds and that’s arguably the entertaining bit that everyone has been speaking about.

“Certainly, in terms of physical output, they really work hard. They’re the hardest working team in the Premier League in terms of running stats but if we play our game, we know what we’re good at and we can certainly give them a good game.”

He added: “We went to Elland Road just before Christmas and they were doing well at the time and we beat them

“It was one of Saïd’s (Benrahma’s) first games and I was really impressed with him and the way he kept finding space.

They go 1v1 all over the pitch and that leaves space and when the ball breaks down, the counter-attack was on and Saïd was picking up some fantastic positions and that really helped us as a team going forward and that really helped our chances.

“We had a terrible start, conceding a penalty inside two minutes. Łukasz saved it, then they had it retaken because he was two millimetres off his line and scored, so it was a really tough test for us that night and we did well to come out on top.”

They have had the same time as us off so they will be full of running and ready for whatever we have, we will have to be 100% on it like we were at Elland Road. There won’t be any hiding places so I hope the players are ready to fight for every ball COYI!!!
