Former West Ham manager Alan Curbishley told Talksport Radio:
“I think David Gold and David Sullivan over the course of their time at Birmingham and at West Ham have been quite loyal to their managers. I think Avram Grant got sacked after being relegated and Giafranco Zola but over the course of time they have been quite loyal.”
“Last year when they were flying and they were asked about Slaven’s contract then, they were quite up front and said look he’s had a really good season let’s see what he does next year before we decide what we are going to do.”
“I think this season because the move, the injuries etc, etc, etc they will be saying let’s see how he starts off next year. I think that is where they are at at the moment.”
“I think they will look back at the recruitment in the summer and it was poor. I don’t think the most ardent West Ham fan would not agree with that. They made something like ten signings and perhaps only one or two of them have come off.”
“In the summer there is going to be a lot of work done and more players bought in with one or two leaving.”
Slaven Bilic WILL be given time to prove himself at West Ham by 'loyal' owners, believes former #WHUFC boss Alan Curbishley…⚒ pic.twitter.com/jlIZwNMW7x
