Danny Ings could remain at West Ham

Danny Ings could remain at West Ham following news that Mikey Antonio is set for another six weeks on the sidelines although that may depends on the outcome of the scan on Jarrod Bowen‘s ankle.

That’s according to the Mail who claim that following a new injury to the No 9 and Bowen twisting an ankle, Ings could be required despite apparent interest from Wolves in the 31 year old.

David Moyes has preferred to use Divin Mubama as a sub in the last couple of games and although Antonio was due to return to the team against Bristol City he sustained a new injury when slipping in training.

He has been missing since mid November and the Mail is declaring that he now faces another four to six weeks out of action.

Michail Antonio could be out for up to six weeks after suffering a fresh injury setback

Wolves have enquired about Ings with the 31 year old, now making only rare appearances in the team and yesterday missing a great chance from close in when appearing in the second half of the game against Bristol City.

But with with Antonio and Bowen – as well as Paqueta’s injured problem and the loss of Mohammed Kudus to the Africa Cup of Nations – the Hammers are allegedly reluctant to let him go and having no cover at all.

They haven’t been helped by the form of Mubama who has failed to make any real impact over his appearances against Brighton and in the Fa Cup third round match.

Moyes should put more coaching into integration of the Academy players Mubama and Marshall whilst seeking a signing. Let Ings go now he is not contributing. Just sending on Mubama and lumping the ball up would not be good enough in any league and not how he plays in the U21 team. Sort it Moyes.

Why bother, the tea lady might be available and there is more chance they will score.
