Date set for Payet surgery

|

payet1Dimi Payet will be in the operating theatre next Monday for surgery on his badly damaged ankle.

And meanwhile major club insiders remain utterly furious at the actions of Everton’s James McCarthy whose shocking tackle has sidelined our brilliant midfielder for three months.

Payet has suffered ligament damage and would have been in hospital earlier had the bruising and inflammation not been so intense.

Now, however, the date has been set for Monday of next week for the hospital visit.

A top club source – struggling unsuccessfully to control his anger four days on – made no secret of his fury over the tackle which was perhaps the worst seen anywhere this season.

He said: “McCarthy never touched the ball. It was a wicked challenge and let’s not forget this is the same guy who savagely tackled Amalfitano the previous year.

It was an inexcusable tackle and there’s still a lot of anger about over it.”

It needs the club to back a private action by Dimitri against McCarthy,
Common assault with 30 thousand witness,s,
What makes it worse is McCarthy and Everton have not appolagised and the scum that surport the club actually think it was a good tackle, just hope Barkley and other talented players don’t get near him in training,
Billy Bonds would have run the length of the pitch and put McCarthy right
( right in the stands )

For us to start something would be like peeing in the wind !!
Our club should act , is payet insured ? Can the insurers claim it back from McCarthy ?
He should be targeted legally , it was an assault !!!! Involve the police !!!!
The FA will do exactly that !! FA!!!!!

have to say I agree with you all have watched the challenge many times now and cannot see how it was not a straight red. the ref could not have been any closer what was he thinking, the fa should definitely get involved or the club should take action after all he is an asset of the club. there are appeals for cancelling red cards there must be an appeal process to impose a red card. get well soon payet !.

Then lets do something about it? Alert the FA about the situation, FORCE them to take some action against dirty players. Its not the first time McCarthy stamps players and cause em serious injuries. Fans can start online petition or something like that and try to attract more media attention to the problem. Its not because Dimi is a Hammer, its because all true football fans dont want that happen to any player in the future. I think we might get some support with that petition from fans of other clubs. If McCarthy will receive a serious ban and fine – it will prevent some reckless idiots of doing that in the future. For now they get a yellow and completely get away with it. We have an international break now – lets do something useful. I guess Arsene Wenger will support us on the matter btw.

The fact that it is Payet means anyone that loves football should be outraged – the start he’s made and the form he’s shown shows he is an absolute asset to the Premier League, never mind just our team. To have players of such quality mercilessly hacked about by mediocrities like McCarthy without proper sanction doesn’t just harm the team that he plays for; it harms the whole league, and the spectacle it’s supposed to be putting on.

Indeed. Players like Payet, Aguero, Silva, Sanchez add quality to the whole competition. And if FA wont protect em who will? Lets try to attract some media attention to the case. FA do care about bad press. Its not normal. You moan about referee and receive fine and ban. You send someone to the hospital for 3 month and you get a yellow card. All the westham forums are full of saint anger – lets turn it into something. Im not a lawyer nor journalist, English is not my first language, but I hope there are some fans out there capable of doing something! And thousands who will support em. At least lets that filthy Mccarthy guy get nervous.
