Daves head for a first in January window

|

GoldandsullivanWest Ham’s owners David Sullivan and David Gold could create a first for the first time in over 20 years as football club owners this winter.

Having assembled what has been described by many as the club’s best squad for several years it is unlikely they will be moving in the January transfer market.

The duo want to see some outward movement having spent a ‘small fortune’ on transfer fees and wages in the summer and – as reported earlier – James Collins and Joey O’Brien are prime candidates to be moved off the wage bill.

Were the club to make any move in January it is likely they would bring in a right back on loan or permanently but for the first time in a long time there is no need for any ‘elastoplast surgery.’

Having landed every player they were after in the summer they will be content if they don’t have to add to the squad which would be the first time in their time at Birmingham City and West Ham that they haven’t made a signing

The pair are more than happy with what they have but co chairman Sullivan teased: “You never say never do you!”

If not go and play over there where someone cares a flying fukc
I am pleased with the effort the board made in the end in the last window but would like the
Lanzini deal done early and a New Right Back,
    But that is being greedy

Good spot……I suppose it depends how you look at it, he entered into a pre-contract on 30th Jan, 2015 (didn’t & couldn’t play for us), but officially join the club until 1st July, 2015.

I’ll ignore the rest of what you put ’66 if that’s okay, cheers.

Do what you want.Couldnt give a f*ck what you do.As an ‘expert’ you are the man to be able to make that decision without help im sure.

We did sign Hendrie on the 30th of Jan 2015,but the Wetpant users like to come here to try to be wise guys.Even though their ‘expert’ comments are often incorrect. Some of them also love to defend or justify everything Hippo has ever said or done.He is their hero, lol

You obviously missed their hippo vote then? or perhaps you just chose to forget it?

Im sorry Douchebag, what part of ‘some of them’ didnt you understand?.I thought you were the king of grammar & understanding the English language.

  • whambam says:

    I thought we signed Hendrie

  • slaven a laugh says:

Hardly a first is it when we didn’t sign anyone in last years Jan window.

Just shows how far we’ve come. Have to be honest didn’t think we’d have progressed this far, this quickly after the dark days of relegation. Long may it continue.

(We didn’t sign anyone last January, but probably wasn’t for lack of trying – did get Nene later in Feb though)
