West Ham Chairman is disappointed is have only managed to have ranked joint second in The Telegraph rating of the best Chairmen and owners in the Premier League. The tongue in cheek comment was made on twitter to his 128,000 followers simply saying “I’m really disappointed! dg”
The Telegraph entry for Gold and Sullivan says:
Majority shareholders: David Sullivan and David Gold
Net worth: £850million
Sullivan and Gold will always divide opinion, but not even their most ardent critics would argue that they have not been good for West Ham. After a (large) hiccup which brought relegation with a star-studded, and highly-paid, squad, West Ham are now not just on an even keel, but upwardly mobile. Slaven Bilic has got the team playing the kind of fluent football fans demand and the move into the Olympic Stadium next season – whatever you think of how it was orchestrated – should make the club a force to be reckoned with.
