David happy with his Moyesiah tag

|

David Moyes says he is happy to be called the Moyesiah if that’s the nickname he has been given by West Ham supporters.

Talking to reporters virtually this afternoon from Rush Green the 57-yar-old manager he has been called a lot worse over the years during his long management career.

He joked he used to be called a ‘ginger nut’ but he is certainly not ginger nut now, something more grey.

He added, “if there are nicknames going around, I’ve had a lot of bad ones in my time, so I’m quite happy to take that if that’s what I’ve been given.”

Some of the more unwanted nicknames he has been given over the years have been ‘the tragic one’ and ‘dithering Dave’

One former Sunderland player nicknamed him ‘The energy vampire’  during his ill-fated time at the Tyne and Wear club.

In contrast, his approval rating is probably at an all-time high for West Ham fans.
