David Moyes denies Batshuayi scouting

|

MoyesnoteDavid Moyes has denied he went to Chelsea this week to watch Michy Batshuayi insisting his priority remains in the midfield.

Moyes used his London Evening Standard Column on Friday to say

“Before the window opened, I said our priority had to be in midfield, where we were short of cover. Since then most of the speculation has been about our front players and, depending who you listen to or what you read, all our strikers are up for sale.

I went to watch Chelsea play Norwich in the FA Cup on Wednesday night and I knew that would increase the speculation about Andy Carroll and Chelsea with Michy Batshuayi coming to us.

Categorically, I did not go to Stamford Bridge to watch Batshuayi or any other player in particular. I like to get out and watch plenty of matches, I hadn’t seen Norwich this season and there were some players there who had been mentioned to me as having been doing well.”

Maddison maybe 😉 good player offensively but not sure of his defending ?
Carvhalo type needed as well then 😉

Hope so said he was watching Norwich players recommended to him. Like that he like to watch the players but can do that out of country so have to trust scouts & watch on teley.

But over been about Maddison all season & adda creativity we need not to nation free kick specialist scores some lovely goals. At 21 will only get better be a great buy & would fit in PL. Norwich play like they are still in PL do better against PL teams then in championship.
Gunn was great too but on loan from Man City love of they let us swap Hart for him. Save some wages.

And if get Dendockner who £15m could buy he protects back & good at passing out Carvalho deal I believe is dead.

But I’d be very happy if we got Dendockner, Maddison, Smolov (if sell Sakho), and maybe loan to buy for Markovic. Opare for RB & LB cover maybe too £3-£5m great in Bundesliga can defend & very fast.

Don’t see us getting 4 players but we need them bc sqaud size & injuries if Arnie Noble Lanzini got injured then what? Shelvey isn’t my first choice but Rafa as put up for sale if Moyes wants him get him maybe can sort him out.

I was amazed at Norwich’s level, if they play that way normally they really have some great young players, Maddison, Murphy, Lewis, Gunn, the Captain was an inspiration Pinto as was Oliveira, they deserved to win that tie even though they rode their luck towards the end. For waht it’s worth I thought the ref got the penalty decisions right even though both could have been given, was great to see the divers getting sent off also.

They are a good side they play like they are in PL & PL would suit them better from what I’ve seen & listened too but Championship is struggle for them.
