David Moyes is rumoured to be challenging West Ham for the signing of Corinthians forward Yuri Alberto.
The former Hammers boss and now Everton manager has been reported by Everton News as being close to pipping West Ham to the post for the Brazilian striker.
But as Claret & Hugh were informed last week, Graham Potter has no interest in signing the Corinthians forward. In fact, one of the reasons West Ham were incorrectly ruled out of the running is because Alberto is reportedly currently injured.
The website does correctly state that Moyes had an interest in Alberto while in charge at the London Stadium. Perhaps that’s where reports of West Ham’s supposed involvement have come from—but the truth is, there’s no interest from the Irons in a player who has scored 70 goals in 183 matches.

Just as well, really. His £17 million price tag might be well within Everton’s budget, but poor old Potter is still waiting for that Kudus money to roll in.
