David Moyes in south coast scouting mission

|

Moyes2West Ham manager David Moyes is at today’s Premier League game between Bournemouth and Everton with TV cameras picking him out in the crowd at the Vitality Stadium in the first half.  Maybe he is there to watch midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin who started today for Big Sam’s Everton or maybe it is Harry Arter who has also been linked with the Hammers and came off the bench for the last 12 minutes in the Cherries victory this afternoon.

Perhaps he has his eye on someone else yet to be linked with Hammers but only time will tell.

One possible unknown target could be Scottish winger Ryan Fraser who scored both goals for Bournemouth today for a much-needed victory. He was previously recommended to Slaven Bilic by one of West Ham’s in-house analysts. Fraser cost Bournemouth just £400,000 when he was signed from Aberdeen in 2013 when the south coast club were in a battle to avoid the drop in English League One.

Former West Ham player and manager Harry Redknapp is also at the South Coast game watching and was also picked up by TV cameras chatting to former Hammer Jermain Defoe who is currently injured. Harry is a local resident in the exclusive Sandbanks area.

I don’t think the results were that bad if we beat West Brom we are 13th not only that but Watford and Everton are only two wins away then, it is one of those yes in terms of avoiding relegation, Bournemouth, Swansea and Southampton losing would have been best but in terms of overall league positionWatford are in freefall, Everton are not far off it they will barely score more than one a goal a game under Allardyce as we know only too well so there is a realistic chance if we can put a run together of finishing top ten, a very long shot at the moment but definitely possible with some good signings.

Moyes has achieved absolutely nothing yet – we are still in the bottom 3, If he was scouting any of the players mentioned in this article then we wont be in the premier league next season. If he again starts with one up top against a bottom 3 team – sorry I see no logic in this. He needs to start with a 3-5-2 system against West Brom and something on these lines Adrian, Rice, Reid, Ogbanna, Collins, Arthur, Lanzini, Kouyate, Arnie, Antonio and Sakho/Hernandez. I believe his transfer dealings and his team selections against the weaker teams will dictate his and our faith this season.

So now West Borm are bottom and will come with a knife between their teeth to execute us… Not too optimistic. Luckily Chadli is out, and probably Rondon as well, although I can see him coming on the pitch in a wheelchair and scoring…

The results today have not been good for us. Both Bournemouth and Swansea won after starting losing / drawing. Lucky deflection for Bournemouth, lucky outcome for Swansea (Naughton should have been sent off for aggression/violent conduct). By the way, why were Wilson and Francis on the pitch today ? Wasn’t the FA going to look into their awful behaviour v. West Ham and suspend them ?
