Harry Redknapp says David Moyes needs to find “a winning way” rather than “the West Ham way” some fans demand.
The former West Ham boss told Radio 5 Live that Moyes should use Andy Carroll as a focal point for his attack and win at all costs.
Harry said: “You have to play to your strengths, and what David Moyes has said is that you have to find a way to win. A winning way. They can’t be fussy – they need to win, they need to get out of trouble.”
When Moyes quizzed on about the West Ham Way during the press conference yesterday he replied “I remember Sam saying what was the West Ham Way but the first thing to do is find the best way to win. If i can be attacking and entertaining then thats the way I want it to be played but ultimately, I want to win. I want to reach the standards that are expected here.”
I heard this and agree play to the strengths but doesn’t mean AC is the answer
We bought Chicharito bc he can score goals but have to play to his strengths too he can finish but we can create 5 chances a game & he gets 1.
We have to get fit play as a TEAM at this point yes a win is a win but don’t want the to be like Swansea want to see we played for 90m as a team & deserved that win. Doesnt have to be pretty all the time but if it can be that would be great! I believe all 3 new sides will stay up most likely & don’t won’t to be one of the 3 PL sides to go down so keep us up if we see that the team is trying & organised we grind out Wins fine
And has we know we can’t rely on AC to stay fit done it for what 5 years and 9 goals was best our last season at Boyeln. Chicharito as 4 not bad considering chances had & some positioning errors.
We need to be able to play 90m not 20 of football as a team where we link up the times we have done that we will score. Guess we will see from training what happens I def agree with Harry right now we just need to Win.
But defense has to be sorted we have shipped 23 goals most in PL! We have u would think capable experienced defenders & Rice who shows more Maturity & passion then most.
All perfectly sensible and reasonable, until Harry got to Carroll. Then it went downhill!

Carroll is one of or is the main problem in this side , its unable to create chances for him in the box , he’s to deep or on the wing , it gives the opposition a telegram every time he plays because its hoof ball , Liverpool nullified him as soon as he came on last game as a for instance , Moyes needs to look at balancing the team before the dreaded unplayable Carroll
Ploy ffs , hard graft , organization. And then build the team again after getting rid of a good few and replace with better players , this team is not the best team we’ve had in ages results tell us that , that’s just goebles propaganda being spilled out by the board lol say it enough and people get it into their phsychy that it true ! Moyes has his work cut out and sully needs to dig deep in Jan ! If Moyes can be believed about his hard stance then players will need moving on be it not buying into his strategy or simply whether they can hack it !! 3-4 defiantly are not good or quick enough in this side , let’s see if Moyes can see who they are and have the bolloxxx to drop them and insist on money for new blood ! IMO Moyes could be banging his head against a brick wall ! You can dangle a carrot in front of a donkey but you cannot make it go any quicker . as for the poppadom ? From the Bench and moved on before the annual injury ! He’s been training in cotton wool because of his fitness ? How does that fit in with Moyes ??.
This is just an out of the blue observation but does anyone else here think that as a football ground the stadium is jinxed ? We have seating company go bankrupt we have had the roofing company go bankrupt we have got our board that has always been morally bankrupt and I don’t think it will be long before our club will be bankrupt unless them three parasites leave
