David Moyes spoke about transfers in a post-match interview saying he hoped Tomas Soucek could make an impact immediately hinting he could start on Saturday against Brighton.
Asked about new signings Moyes said “We’ve signed one, I’m hoping he is fresh and ready to go, why not. I need to see but I hope he can help us. I don’t want to put pressure on him, it’s not the easiest league in the world to make an impact straight away but I have a lot of confidence in him.”
Asked about the chances of signing a new striker before Friday the manager replied: “We’re looking really hard but there isn’t that many out there.”
Although he didn’t mention it the West Ham gaffer is also searching for a right-back after being forced to blood 19-year-old Jerry Ngakia with Pablo Zabaleta rested on the bench unable to play so many games in such as short period. Ryan Fredericks is due to return from injury sometime in February.
They are out there if you pay up …ffs
gedson fernandez never even spoke to west ham,ot was his agent saying it so spuds never nicked hom from under our noses
Piatek is the most obvious choice as a proven goal scorer plus be nice to get him from under the spuds noses as they did with Gedson⚒️⚒️⚒️
Really impressed with the young lad Jerry Ngakia, what a match to be thrown in the deep end. Hopefully, he did enough in Moyes eyes to let him blossom.

BBC gossip says we are looking at 34 year old Salomon Kalou as our striker… if that’s true it would be astonishing and not in a good way.
Piatek is available a proven striker who even off form gets a goal every 4 games and on form is more prolific, these stupid loan attempts are ridiculous might have worked with Soucek but it won’t with Piatek.
