David Moyes has been talking Deadline Day.
Thus far of course the Hammers have made not a single signing – loan or otherwise – and with just a handful of days left worries are building among the fans.
David Moyes talks Deadline Day
The Hammers have made it clear they have a dozen or more targets but as yet aren’t notably close to bringing in any new arrivals.
It may of course be that with Mikey Antonio closing in on a return, Mo Kudus back in February and Jarrod Bowen improving daily the club isn’t as overly concerned as we may imagine believing there is little chance of us finding ourselves in serious trouble.
And it was interesting to hear the manager comment that whilst a lot of made of the fnal day for transfers you could say you should have your business done before that.
Frankly, that brought a wry smile given how slow he has been in getting players in at this time of the year in the past if indeed he has managed any at all!
Commenting at his presser ahead of Sheffield United he said: “Transfer Deadline Day is a couple of weeks away and we’re going to be playing on the day again (Bournemouth). I would say it’s probably not ideal but, in other ways, you could say you should have your business done before the last day.
A lot is made of the last day of the window and it can make it difficult when you’ve got a game on that day.
