David Moyes to self isolate as precaution

In line with advice from the relevant health authorities, David Moyes is self-isolating after coming into direct contact with Mikel Arteta at Arsenal on Saturday. There are no signs of illness whatsoever and the manager is well.

The manager greeted his former player at the Emirates last Saturday and they were photographed shaking and hugging.

The manager’s self-isolation is only a precaution and follows the Premier League statement that the league will be suspended to 4th April at the earliest.

Arsenal made the shock announcement that Arteka had tested positive less an hour after the Premier League released a statement that fixtures would continue.  Chelsea later announced that their winger Callum Hudson-Odoi had also tested positive for Covid-19.

Everton has also advised a player to self-isolate after he reported Corobnavirus type symptoms.

West Ham have closed their Rush Green training ground until a deep clean has taken place. The club’s Chadwell Heath and Little Heath training bases, as well as the London Stadium, will also be deep cleaned.

  1. this is a joke. All premier league players should be given the virus. They are so fit they would be over it in a few days and then we can get on with the season.

  2. such a ridicules statement. people need to know that other are taking measures to secure there family’s as well as others.

  3. Welcome to a world gone mad, and a situation of our own making; heaven help us if our glorified world leaders ever have to face a real crisis in future, as they’ve shown themselves totally lacking in any form of common sense when handling this low-grade one! One good thing has come out of it, though; no more media bleating about global warming, which was their other pet subject up till now; let’s see how long they can fuel the frenzy on this one, shall we??
