David Moyes has admitted he is waiting anxiously for test results to return from nine players who were released on international duty before they can rejoin first-team training this afternoon.
The manager told reporters this morning over Zoom ‘The big problem is that we are waiting – we are training this afternoon – for the testing to get confirmed from the international players, we have not had all the test results back yet which is a bit disappointing. We have to wait until they come back to see if the players can train.”
Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek were away with the Czech Republic, Lukasz Fabianski was away with Poland, Darren Randolph with the Republic of Ireland, Delcan Rice with England
Fabian Balbuena was away with Paraquay while Said Benrahma travelled with the Algerian squad and Sebastien Haller was on duty with the Ivory Coast
Arthur Masuaku DR Congo and Angelo Ogbonna Italy did not join their international teammates after suffering small injuries.
