Dawson/Oggy updates

Craig Dawson and Angelo Ogbonna are both expecting to get runouts in the last pre season game of the summer when the Irons take on RC Lens next weekend.

Daws is understood to have a soft tissue injury and the medics are ensuring that he takes things relatively easy but believe he could be available for the final friendly.

Oggy, meanwhile, had played for the Under-23s on Friday as his return from an ACL injury continued, leaving Kurt Zouma, who had a shaky afternoon against Luton, as the only one of Moyes’ five senior centre-backs available for the trip to Kenilworth Road.

Zouma’s form may have left the manager wondering about things as it was understood earlier in the summer that he had not been entirely happy with the player towards the end of last term.

As a result of the injuries and possible worries over Zouma it is not difficult to see why Moyes is wary of offloading even his fifth-choice centre-half in Diop – and why a replacement will likely come in if the club’s £20million asking price for the Frenchman is met.

  1. we want deputy daws fit for the forest game, so he can crunch lingard at every opportunity, lol, IF we secure scammacca, then i would like his mate rapadori in our side, or sarr.
why not get another freebie striker as back up, belt and braces.

  2. Are we being haunted by the Spectre of “Bare Bones” again?
