Dawson update

Exclusive By Hughie Southon

Craig Dawson will remain unavailable for the Euro Conference game against FCSB this week and the match against Newcastle at the weekend.

Dawson saw a move to Wolves fall through on deadline day but it seems likely he will get his desire to move closer to the north come January given that he has family issues.

However, in the meantime, he is continuing to recover from a thigh injury and an insider told ClaretandHugh this afternoon ( Sun) that an appearance in the next week is extremely unlikely.

Daws has missed the whole of pre season and this campaign’s Premier League and Euro Conference qualifying campaign against Viborg.

Our insider explained that the 32 year old had been unable to train properly for several weeka which made an imminent return difficult.

It’s unlikely too that he will be involved in the next Euro game against Silkeborg on the 15th of this month or against Everton on the 18th.

  1. Yet he was pictured in training the morning after the transfer window closed so he’s fit enough to train.
