Julen Lopetegui faces mounting pressure as West Ham prepare for the crucial Monday night clash against Bournemouth. Serial Hammers taunter Chris Sutton believes the Cherries’ impressive form under Andoni Iraola will prove too much for the struggling Irons but of course he would say that.

Bournemouth’s fast paced approach with round pegs in round holes is a stark contrast to West Ham’s disjointed performances this season. Many fans are still calling for Lopetegui’s dismissal just months after his summer appointment.

While the Hammers and Lopetegui won the El Sackio clash against Wolves recently, the unconvincing nature of our performance has done little to ease the concerns of supporters. Lopetegui appears to be living on borrowed time, and a defeat at the Vitality Stadium could seal his fate.

Despite Sutton acknowledging Jarrod Bowen’s strong form and West Ham’s potential to make it a half entertaing match, he remains confident in the Cherries.

“West Ham’s win over Wolves was a step in the right direction,” Sutton said, “but Lopetegui needs consistent improvement or he’ll always be under pressure. Bournemouth have been superb this season, always creating chances, and I expect them to make it four wins in a row.”

Sutton’s prediction: Bournemouth 2-1 West Ham.

Sutton is only saying what you and everyone else has already said. Why is it right when you say it but wrong when he says it? When are you going to learn not to rise to the bait?
We have the most spineless management team in the PL, which is why this sorry saga has been allowed to drag on and all we can do is hope our team loses so the healing process can begin.

are you living in Sutton’s pocket? why do you even care what he says? btw, he’s probably right on this one.

Well they’ve beaten Arsenal, Tottenham and Man City at home. Drew with Chelsea etc. so not rocket science I wouldn’t expect us to beat them at their place.

Hmmmmmmm, I’m not confident it has to be said. If we perform as we did against Wolves we won’t get anything out of Bournemouth

  • Phil Baker says:

If Bournemouth needed 5 I’m sure they would get them . It seems as if Sullivan is suffering from dementia as is Lopetegui . Both retire already .

    Only 2?? Really!
