West Ham are on the verge of completing a deal for Carlos Soler from Paris Saint-Germain.
According to L’Equipe this morning, The Hammers have reportedly agreed personal terms and a transfer fee with the French club, and the midfielder is keen to join the Irons. The attacking midfielder is also understood to have been withdrawn from the PSG squad to face Montpellier as the Parisians prepare for his exit.
The report suggests that West Ham have agreed to pay a transfer fee of nearly €25 million, including bonuses, which PSG chiefs will also see as reasonable. The Parisians had spent around €18 million to Valencia two years prior, as the agreement with the Hammers nets them a decent profit on their original outlay.
Soler’s versatility and experience in midfield make him an attractive target for West Ham. His ability to play in multiple positions will provide Lopetegui with tactical flexibility and depth in the middle of the park. he will also provide excellent cover for Lucas Paqueta should the worst happen with his FA charges for betting irregularities.
Sounds good. Just hope all West Ham’s cards fall where they are expected to!
Everton are sniffing, but why on earth he would want to go there!!
Manu are going to get him another one who got away
