West Ham are nearing the final stages of Carlos Soler’s transfer to the London Stadium from Paris Saint Germain.
The deal is expected to be a loan with an obligation to buy for €21 million, although the precise value of the transfer varies according to different reports. However, both the French and Spanish press have been consistent throughout the day, suggesting that negotiations are close to completion.
It is believed that both clubs, as well as the player and his representatives, are united in their desire to finalise the deal as quickly as possible.
The Hammers have decided to proceed with the initial loan arrangement following difficulties in offloading some unwanted players from their squad. Should the deal not materialise, West Ham have lined up a potential back-up option for a position which has been highlighted for immediate strengthening.
The former Valencia star and Spanish international will bolster Julen Lopetegui’s midfield and provide the creative cover for Lucas Paquetá.
Is this true then ..because one min yes then no ..I don’t understand…the other day you said it was miles away and will o ly happen if we sell ???
This one’s become a saga again regarding Soler.
I would of been happy just getting Duran over the line last wk but that ship has sailed and ironically we lost the game because of it .
That’s what happens when u hang a player out to dry publicly he got his revenge and now we have to listen to villa fans giving it the big one …
Hopefully the team is up for this one and fit and we don’t have to watch Soucek run around like a donkey falling over and hoofing the ball over the crossbar …
