West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui has confirmed what Claret & Hugh reported yesterday: Niclas Füllkrug will miss this weekend’s Premier League fixture against Ipswich.

During a conversation with a top club source, we were informed of the bad news, which means the German striker will be out of action until October 19th, when the Hammers face London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The German star will not join his international teammates but will instead work on his fitness at Rush Green, where a training game could be arranged to help bring the forward closer to match sharpness.

When asked about injury news, Lopetegui told the assembled reporters, “Regarding injuries, we have the Füllkrug injury – he continues to be out. Niclas had some minor problems, and it’s true that he’s been unavailable between the two international breaks, but hopefully he’ll be ready for the matches when we come back to football.

“The rest of the players are ready and working hard for what is an important game on Saturday.”

I think the main issue is ABYSMAL DEFENSE to be honest. We can harp on all day long about Wrongfully spent money on attacking players ‘,, and agreed 👍,, but our defence is just FRIKKIN EMBARRASSING and needs sorting before ANYTHING ELSE

    • Hmm says:

Plus Orford our best academy midfielder since Declan Rice.
