Dec ready for another win over Wolves

Declan Rice reckons the squad are buzzing ahead of March madness which sees us involved in three different competitions.

It’s Wolves and the Premier League today of course before we move on to the FA Cup and Europa Cup against Sevilla.

Very big days ahead in a month looks set to define the Hammers season amid hopes that we are about to establish ourselves in that top strata we have sought for so long.

Declan of course has been immense throughout the season – leading the squad like a veteran and forever reminding us how grateful he has been for Mark Noble’s example and support as he has grown into the captaincy.

First today, and it could hardly be more important that we remain in touch at the top and we are looking for a much improved performance over recent weeks.

Most clubs have slumps during the course of their campaigns and let’s hope that the Newcastle game was the last of ours and we see a revitalised and renewed Irons team this afternoon.

Speaking to www.whufc.com Dec declared: ” Obviously recently we’ve not had the results that we’ve wanted but we’ve only lost two in ten [in all competitions] so we’re still in strong form, but we’re not winning as many games as we’d like to.

“We know Wolves are a good side, they’re really strong and well-organised, but we’ve beaten them before and we’ve got the quality, it’s just about doing it on the day.

“We’re confident, we’ve worked really hard in training to prepare for that, so we want to get back on track.

“Especially going into the big Europa League games, we want to pick up our form again and keep it going, so we’re buzzing for Wolves and for the remainder of the season.”
