Decent news for the Hammers

By Hughie Southon

West Ham had a relatively good afternoon before they even kicked a ball in anger themselves and will slide no further in the league following the results in two key games.

Frank Lampard’s Everton were beaten by Wolves, which lifted the midlanders off the bottom  and into 18th place.

That left the Frank Lampard managed Toffees on 14 points – like ourselves – but below us on an inferior points difference.

It was of course a dreadful result for Lampard and has put his position in even more danger than previously of course.

In the other game, Saints – who like the Toffees could have gone above us with the right result – were beaten at home by Brighton in a south coast derby.

It means that the Saints are now rock bottom.

The Hammers, meanwhile, could lift themselves up a couple or three places with a win should they manage to beat the Gooners.

  1. What are you delusional, you do write some cr@p at times. “The Hammers, meanwhile, could lift themselves up a couple or three places with a win should they manage to beat the Gooners” We are plummeting through the trap door and as ever those two muppets running the club should have got rid of Moyles when they had the the chance. Our form is abysmal and have lost to some pretty awful side in the premier league and I mean awful sides. So what does that make us. As ever they will act when it is too late.
