Last night, West Ham’s interim chief executive Karim Virani met with members of the Fan Advisory Board.

It was Virani’s first official engagement with Hammers supporters since taking up the role following Karren Brady’s departure at the London Stadium.

As mentioned here previously, Karim is a very different character to Brady, who had a reputation for ruling the club with an iron fist. So it’s no surprise to hear the meeting went down well.

Season Ticket Plans Depend On Survival

One of the biggest issues on the agenda was season ticket pricing for next season, and Claret & Hugh understand there will be two options depending on whether West Ham retain Premier League status or not.

The club and the FAB are expected to release a joint statement later this week, or shortly after, once the minutes from the meeting have been agreed.

Freeze Or Rise On The Cards

Our understanding is that, should West Ham drop into the Championship, season tickets will either be frozen or slightly discounted.

If the club retain Premier League status, then a small increase is expected — likely in line with inflation — although nothing has been confirmed at this stage.

As we learn more, we’ll of course report back. But with West Ham’s Premier League status still hanging in the balance, it’s hard to see anything being finalised before the last three games of the season have been played.
