Declan and Jarrod – ‘did they fly to Sevilla’ news

|

CandH Exclusive by Hughie Southon

There was good news and not so good news out of West Ham today as the squad headed off for their huge clash in Sevilla tomorrow (Thurs).

Captain Declan Rice travelled with the lads but there is no certainty at this stage he will play although we understand he is feeling better than yesterday when he was  still  under the weather with a mystery bug.

However, no decision on his involvement can be taken until the squad has been in the country for another 24 hours given the importance of the Round 16 game.

Jarrod Bowen, however, has remained in London as ClaretandHugh suggested might be the case in a report yesterday following the injury to his heel which is still resisting too much weight bearing.

In fact the player will undergo another scan in London despite nothing showing on the first one.

The club want to be sure nothing was missed as the heel is not improving as quickly as they had hoped.
