Declan called up

Declan Rice has been called into the  England squad for two 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifiers next month.

Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate has named him in the squad for the matches against Malta and North Macedonia.

He will head to Malta for the first of their two fixtures on Friday 16 June, at the Ta’Qali Stadium, before facing North Macedonia at Old Trafford on Monday 19 June.

The 24-year-old has earned 41 England caps since making his debut for the Three Lions against the Czech Republic in March 2019 and has scored three international goals

That win at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, combined with a 2-0 victory against Ukraine, has given England a perfect start to their 2024 UEFA European Championship qualification journey.

The national side sit top of Group C after two games played and will be seeking to cement their place in the qualification spots in the latest round of international fixtures.

The 2024 Euros are set to take place between 14 June and 14 July 2024 in Germany. Berlin’s Olympiastadion will stage the final on Sunday 14 July 2024.
