Declan Rice by the numbers

Declan Rice’s performance for England last night was well received by many. The 20-year-old Hammer achieved the most tackles for England, the most interceptions for England and the second most passes for England.

Statistics for teh 4-0 win over Bulgaria in the UEFA Euro Qualifiers in group A show the defensive midfielder made 111 touches, 100 passes, had a  96% pass accuracy, made 1 key pass, had 3 dribbles, won 8 accurate long balls, made 3 tackles and won 3 interceptions.

England remains top of group A with 9 points from three games.

Rice started for Gareth Southgate and played for the full ninety minutes, on the 67th-minute dream came true when he played alongside his good mate Mason Mate for England, something the pair claim had hoped for.

The West Ham man looks to be firmly in Gareth Southgate’s plans for next year’s tournament and hopefully the best is yet to come as he gains more confidence from further International appearances.
