Defender reports “premature”

StrinicWest Ham have described reports that the club has settled on Croatian Ivan Strinic as their second left back as “premature.”

The Croatian was described as going through medical processes at the club by the commentary team in New Zealand during the defeat by Sydney FC.

But ClaretandHugh was told earlier today that is not the case at this stage and that there “are several balls in the air.”

The 27 year old Dnipro defender has been one of those on the Hammers ‘possible’ list for some time.

But our source said: “There’s plenty of time to make decisions and we have several balls in the air.

“We certainly aren’t ruling the player out but we want to make sure we get every decision correct.”
