One more week to go before the ‘phoney war’ is over and the transfer window opens for business: West Ham will be ‘trimming’ their squad by something between five and fifteen players according, to conflicting reports. At this stage there’s more guesswork than knowledge making up the basis for these claims, with the club still in a state of flux after the weekend’s momentous events.
That debt isn’t going to disappear any time soon, however, and the departure of Sullivan might actually accelerate the need to offload expensive players: David Moyes’ Everton were credited with interest in defender Aaron Wan Bissaka yesterday and considered to be ‘leading the race’. However reports this morning suggest another Premier League side is pursuing Wan Bissaka, all of which helps to inflate the sale value for a player Nuno has pretty much already decided he doesn’t want next season.
Both former first team defenders look to be on their way out of West Ham in the forthcoming transfer window.

A week ago it was claimed that Wan Bissaka might be on his way for £10m – however as suitors circle the Irons look to be likely to make a profit on Steidten’s summer 2024 recruit who cost £15 million from Manchester United and went on to win the Hammer of the Year award in his first season.
Kyle Walker Peters seems destined to become Nuno’s first choice right back after a series of solid performances in the second half of the relegation season: A tidy £10 million profit on Wan Bissaka would certainly be a modest step towards balancing the books.
We have got to look to try and make profits on as many players as we can, we have got to get our financial system back on track.
Get as much as we can for Fernandes as Real are in the running as well now, he must understand we have got to get the best offer, I know Man Utd is where he wants to go, so let’s hope they put in a top bid and he gets his wish.
Fernandes is way too good for Man Utd. I really wouldn’t wish to see him enter the twilight zone of their reknowned deskilling and stagnation of talented players.
He’s good enough for Real and needs to go to a properly progressive TOP side. If Man Utd can be used to hike his price, sobeit.
