“Definitely had better days”| Hammers loanee has nightmare ‘game to forget’

Away from the potential  FA Cup ‘banana skin’ which, successfully avoided saw Nuno take a big relief filled sigh before attending to his post game media duties, one on-loan former West Ham man was having a pretty torrid post – game debrief himself.

Former striker Niclas Fullkrug – according to all reports – endured the ‘game to forget’ for his new side Milan.

The 33 year old veteran striker came on as a substitute in his side’s fixture against one-from-bottom side Pisa, but suffered something of a horror show according to sempremilan.com:

Niclas Fullkrug certainly had a game to forget, given he came on as a substitute and was also subbed off in the same game. Then, there is the elephant in the room, his penalty miss. Of course, it happens, but the striker certainly felt bad afterwards, taking to social media to apologise.

“Definitely had better days and very relieved the penalty didn’t turn out decisive – grazie team” [Said Fullkrug]

It seems there is little comfort for Fullkrug who has now endured broken bones and missed penalties and just the one goal in his brief eight- game Milan career.

The West Ham hierarchy will be keeping everything crossed that the German does start to hit the back of the net more regularly or else there’s every likelihood that ‘Fülle’ will be ‘boomeranging’ back to London Stadium come the end of the season-long loan.

Many more ‘games to forget’ and West Ham’s board can forget any idea of Milan taking up the option to purchase Fullkrug at the end of the season. Quite how he’d fit back in to Nuno’s side – or heaven forbid a championship attack- is anybody’s guess.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Penalty miss? Happens to the best of us. Remember Mark Noble being brought on after the penalty was given? Controversial timing but his first kick of the game resulted in a penalty miss. Mark was a practiced penalty specialist and he messed up big time.

Niclas will bounce back. He is class.

sorry in the summer we’ll have the massive wages back on the books, plus ward Prowse, plus Alvarez,
massive money, with no sign of anyone buying them if we go down.
these awful deals could kill us if relegated…

I think Fullkrug has made it pretty clear that he doesn’t fancy the Hammers – even if we don’t get a fee for him we need to get his wages off the books

Yeah, this isn’t good news. No chance Milan buy him so back he comes in the summer
