Delighted Moyes tells what must come next

|

David Moyes was pleased with the team’s performance against Norwich and believed the Hammers were well worth their win.

In reality we should have scored more but the game two years ago was much the same when five would have been more realistic than the two we managed in that game.

Moyes has admitted that he wants to put that right and a player who can add goals for the team is pretty important.

Tonight Bowen was the most lethal of our offensive players whilst Mikey was marked heavily as the team completed a game which pushed us back into the top four.

With players returning from injury it now looks more than  possible that we can maintain the form that has put us in that position – a subject the manager addressed when speaking to the BBC afterwards.

With a smile on his face he summed up tonight’s win and what he wants to happen following it saying: BBC: “I felt we had lot of ball and lot of domination. We thoroughly deserved the victory but it wasn’t easy.

“His [Jarrod Bowen’s] all-round play is improving. He has been great for us and has got goals and assists in him.”

And on moving into the top four he added:  “We have to try and keep it going. I don’t think being fourth this moment in time means an awful lot apart from showing we have been consistent.

“As long as we are around the mix and European places, that will be really good but if we can hang on the coat tails of teams above that is what we will try and do.”
